Job Description
Join our team to build various cables used in aircraft and ground control stations. You'll determine and follow methods and sequences of operations for tasks such as wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing. Comprehend assembly drawings or written work instructions, crimp terminals/contacts onto wires using manual and automated tooling, and label assemblies in accordance with drawing specifications. Your work will range from repetitive to non‑repetitive production assembly, using basic hand tools, cutters, wire strippers, hand crimpers, scissors, soldering iron, and heat gun.
Monitor and verify quality in accordance with control procedures, while observing all applicable laws and regulations.
- Build and assemble cables for aircraft and ground control stations.
- Follow assembly drawings or work instructions for wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing.
- Crimp terminals/contacts onto wires using manual and automated tools.
- Label assemblies as per drawing specifications.
- Perform soldering‑tinning of wires and splices.
- Engage in both repetitive and non‑repetitive production assembly tasks.
- Utilize basic hand tools and equipment such as soldering iron and heat gun.
- Monitor and ensure quality compliance with control procedures.
- Work safely and adhere to established operating procedures.
- Experience with cable assembly and/or cable harnessing.
- Proficiency in soldering, cable harnessing, assembly, and wire crimping.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and wire lists.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and equipment like wire strippers and soldering iron.
- Good visual perception and color distinction.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Skills & Qualifications
- Certification IPC/WHMA‑A620 is a plus.
- Understanding of 5S and Lean Principles is advantageous.
- Knowledge of computer operations and applications relevant to the role.
- Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as necessary.
The pay range for this position is $25.96 - $27.26/hr.
