Lab Technician 1
Where Precision Meets Purpose in Every Batch
Why This Role MattersEvery product that leaves Filtrous carries our reputation with it. A contaminated reagent can ruin a clinical test. A mislabeled vial can delay critical research. As our Lab Technician, you are the last line of defense between our products and the labs that depend on them. You’ll manufacture solutions and PCR panels, perform quality control testing, and ensure every lot meets specification before it ships.
Your attention to detail directly protects the scientists and patients who rely on what we make.
- Manufacture with Precision:
Prepare mobile phase bag solutions and PCR panels following standard operating procedures. - Ensure every batch meets quality specifications through rigorous QC testing before approval or rejection.
- Inspect and Test at Every Stage:
Perform visual and functional inspections on incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Use standard testing equipment and document all results, observations, and deviations. - Keep Our Website Accurate:
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to review the website weekly, flagging and resolving issues related to product content, listings, and structure. - Manage Sample Inventory:
Organize and maintain both physical and digital sample inventories on an ongoing basis, ensuring all items are accessible, documented, and updated regularly. - Document Everything:
Accurately record inspection and testing results following quality control protocols. Maintain organized records and assist in generating reports on QC activities, findings, and corrective actions. - Uphold Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to ISO 9001:2015 standards and company policies. Ensure proper handling and disposal of materials, and participate in audits and continuous improvement efforts.
- Defective products slip through: A single contaminated reagent or mislabeled vial that escapes inspection can ruin a customer’s clinical test or research, and without a vigilant final check those mistakes reach the lab before anyone notices.
- Batches drift out of spec:
Solutions and PCR panels are made by hand, so any lapse in following the exact preparation and testing steps lets a lot fall short of specification and arrive at customers unreliable. - Website information goes stale:
Product listings, descriptions, and page layout quietly fall out of date between reviews, leaving customers to act on wrong or confusing information that costs sales and trust. - Samples become hard to find:
Physical and digital samples accumulate without steady upkeep, so items go missing or untracked and the company is caught short when a colleague or auditor needs to locate one. - Records fail under scrutiny:
If test results, deviations, and corrective actions are not captured cleanly as work happens, gaps surface as findings during an ISO audit and put the company’s quality certification at risk.
- Maintain 100% SOP adherence on all manufacturing and QC processes
- Zero product escapes: catch all deviations before products ship to customers
- Complete weekly website product reviews with all issues flagged and resolved
- Maintain organized, audit‑ready sample inventory with up‑to‑date documentation
- Pass all internal and external quality audits with zero findings in areas of responsibility
At Filtrous, you’re not just another technician on a factory floor. You’re a critical member of a small, tight‑knit team where your work has a direct and visible impact. You’ll develop hands‑on skills across manufacturing, quality control, and even digital product management. You’ll work alongside scientists, operations staff, and leadership in an environment that values initiative and rewards attention to detail.
As Filtrous grows, you’ll have opportunities to take on more responsibility, specialize in areas that interest you, and advance your career in quality and manufacturing.
