Software Engineer - Linux Kernel & Embedded Systems

Requirements

• We need at least 7 years of experience in embedded software development.
• We require strong experience with Linux user-space development.
• We need solid hands-on expertise with TCP/IP and common network protocols.
• We require proficiency in C/C++ user-space application development, along with scripting in BASH and Python.
• We need excellent communication and interpersonal skills for a customer-facing position.
• We require strong problem-solving ability and comfort working collaboratively on site.
• We need candidates who are eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• We require the ability to work in person at our Poway, CA location.
• Preferred experience includes software-defined networking solutions.
• Preferred experience includes developing applications on Zynq SoC with FPGA.
• Preferred experience includes waveform radio technology.

• We implement user-space applications on embedded devices.
• We port and optimize software libraries for embedded platforms.
• We develop, maintain, and troubleshoot code in C/C++, BASH, and Python.
• We carry out Linux embedded development, including user-space application work and system-level debugging.
• We investigate and resolve system performance issues in embedded environments.
• We collaborate with customers to define technical needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• We work directly with clients in a customer-facing, on-site role.

We are a technology-focused team working on cutting-edge embedded projects. This is a full-time, in-person role based at our clients facility in Poway, CA, where we offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $170,000 per year along with benefits including 401(k) matching, medical, dental, health, life, vision, HSA, and paid time off.
