CDL A Truck Driver - Frederick MD

Position Summary

Starting Pay: $23.00 hourly. Position

Description:

Responsible for safely operating a vehicle to pick up, transport and/or deliver donated goods for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. Must have strong adherence to all safety policies and wear all required personal protective equipment at all times. Provide a high level of customer service to donors and other GCNA departments.

• Safely operate a vehicle to collect, transport and/or deliver donations, processed merchandise and other materials, as directed.
• Act courteously, handle customer concerns, and resolve or escalates when necessary.
• Follow all established policies, procedures and local, county, state and federal laws.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks.
• Ensure daily work requirements are met, maintaining quality and quantity performance.
• Process and submit paperwork as directed and review reporting.
• Be available to work overtime to complete assigned tasks as required.
• Follow and enforce all safety rules and use appropriate safety equipment.
• Take immediate action and report any unsafe or potential hazards.
• Unload vehicles and move items as needed.
• Maintain regular and consistent in‑person attendance.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School education or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a CDL vehicle.
• Ability to use technology.
• Be trainable and able to take direction.
• Ability to speak, write and read English proficiently.
• Must have and maintain a valid Class A or Class B Arizona Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), DOT Certification, clean MVR with no DUIs and no reckless operation, and a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen where applicable.
