The Preschool Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing, Christ-centered environment that promotes the spiritual, academic, emotional, and physical growth of young children. This position assists with daily classroom activities, student supervision, and implementation of the Abeka curriculum in accordance with the school’s Christian philosophy.

• Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing lessons using the Abeka curriculum.
• Model Christian values and encourage students to develop godly character.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Help prepare materials and activities for classroom instruction and learning centers.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, playground time, meals, and rest periods.
• Communicate effectively and positively with children, parents, and staff.
• Observe and report student progress, concerns, or incidents to the Lead Teacher.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and families.
• Support the overall mission and vision of Wonder Kids Academy.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework preferred.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children in a structured or faith-based environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to Christian values and ability to integrate biblical principles into daily activities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and remain active throughout the day.
• Must successfully pass background check from Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning.
• Must complete 10 Hour Health and Safety Training.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
