Programmer, Manufacturing ​/ Production, Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a CNC Router Programmer based in Powder Springs, GA
, to support our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for programming CNC router machines by translating engineering drawings and specifications into precise machine code using CAD/CAM software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and a commitment to accuracy and quality. While this position is fully remote, regular communication with on‑site operators and engineers is essential.

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to develop CNC programs.
• Create and revise CNC router programs using CAD/CAM software, optimizing for quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with on‑site operators, engineers, and production team members to troubleshoot and fine‑tune machining processes.
• Provide detailed setup instructions, tool lists, and support documentation for on‑site machinists.
• Maintain accurate records of program revisions and production support.
• Participate in virtual meetings and planning sessions with the production team.
• Ensure programs meet all dimensional and quality requirements as per customer and internal standards.

• Proven experience as a CNC programmer, preferably supporting manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, Mastercam, or similar.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and CNC programming techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with woodworking or wood‑based materials is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and manage time across different time zones.
• Certification or formal training in CNC programming and machining is preferred.
