Estimator
Job Description
At Germain, we believe in doing business the right way, taking care of people, and delivering an experience that earns trust. We’re a family-owned organization that values integrity, craftsmanship, and accountability, not shortcuts.
This role is a big deal here. As an Estimator, you’re the bridge between the guest, the insurer, and the shop. Your accuracy sets the tone for cycle time, parts flow, supplement control, and ultimately the quality of the repair. If you like clarity, precision, and being respected as a professional, you’ll fit.
Why you’ll want this seat at GermainA tenured team makes your job better. Our Collision Center is built with long-term team members, and that stability matters for an Estimator because it means:
- Consistent repair standards (less guesswork, fewer “surprise” reworks)
- Strong communication rhythms between estimating and production
- Reliable technician capability so repair plans stay realistic and executable
- Better supplement discipline because the team knows what “right” looks like
- A calmer, more professional shop environment where processes stick
Translation: you can focus on writing accurate estimates and building trust, not constantly putting out fires.
What you’ll do- Inspect vehicles, identify visible and hidden damage, and determine repair vs. replace
- Write accurate repair plans/estimates for labor, parts, and operations
- Partner closely with the Body Shop Manager/Foreman to align repair approach and production flow
- Complete insurance documentation and support fair claim outcomes
- Communicate professionally with guests and partners while keeping timelines moving
