HR Generalist
The Entry-Level HR Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations in a high-volume, fast-paced security environment. This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who is eager to grow in employee relations, compliance, and HR administration. You will help keep onboarding, records, and HR processes moving accurately and confidentially while partnering with the HR Manager on employee support.
The duties include supporting high-volume onboarding for security personnel across multiple locations, preparing and processing new hire paperwork, maintaining employee files and HRIS records with accuracy, assisting with timekeeping support, responding to employee questions about policies, benefits, and HR procedures, providing employee relations support, assisting with performance management and disciplinary documentation, tracking attendance issues, coordinating background checks, assisting with workers' compensation, supporting benefits administration tasks, helping ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state labor regulations, assisting with audits, HR reports, and basic HR metrics tracking, supporting recruiting activities and hiring events as needed, and maintaining professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in all HR interactions.
We're looking for someone with a high school diploma or GED required, 02 years of experience in HR, administrative support, customer service, or an operations environment, 1-2 years hands-on experience using ADP (HRIS/timekeeping/payroll support) is strongly preferred, strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, employee relations experience, excellent attention to detail and follow-through, ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment with shifting priorities.
Preferred qualifications include an associate's degree in Human Resources, experience in employee relations, experience in security, staffing, retail, hospitality, call center, or other high-turnover/high-volume industries, ADP experience (Workforce Now or similar) and comfort navigating HRIS workflows with minimal training, and basic knowledge of HR best practices and employment law fundamentals.
The work environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, with high employee volume and frequent transactions, and a heavy administrative and operational workload.
Compensation and benefits include a salary of $57,000/year, comprehensive health, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance (after 30 days), 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution (after 1 year), generous PTO and holiday schedule (after 90 days), and professional development and skill-building opportunities.
