Scope of Position

PositionSummary
The Outpatient Surgery Center Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to patients and their families, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.
Minimum Education Required- 2‑Year College Degree
- Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program.
- Current Ohio license or interim permit.
- Experience in a relevant care setting preferred.
The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) at the Powell OCP provides comprehensive nursing care across all phases of the endoscopic procedural experience, supporting a diverse patient population undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including upper endoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy. This location features five endoscopy procedure rooms designed to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced outpatient environment.
The RN is responsible for delivering safe, evidence‑based nursing care throughout the pre‑procedure, intra‑procedure, and post‑procedure phases. This includes collaboration with physicians and the procedural team, recovery care, patient education, and discharge preparation. The RN works with physicians, anesthesia partners, and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes and a seamless procedural experience.
This is a first‑shift position with a 36‑hour workweek, scheduled as four 9‑hour shifts. The role requires flexibility, critical thinking, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing high‑quality, compassionate care within an ambulatory endoscopy setting.
