The team provides patient care and supportive services directed toward achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in their own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization.

The outpatient RN plays a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost‑effective care.

The outpatient RN is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and their family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team.

Core responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

• Manage and provide direct patient and family care.
• Direct and supervise nursing care delivered by other care team members.
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate nursing care of patients.

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) accredited nursing program.
• Current Ohio nursing license or interim permit.
• Experience in a relevant care setting preferred.
