Position:
Math Teacher Vacancy at Powell Middle School

Duties:
Provide instruction in Math for students in Grade 8

Qualifications:

B.A. or B.S. Degree

Qualified for a Standard Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements as issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board

Multiple endorsements are preferred

Team oriented; history of professional growth; demonstrated ability to work effectively with professional team at the secondary level, with parents, and with administration

Demonstrated ability to motivate, work effectively with, and relate to secondary students of different age/ability levels and with varying needs

Successful teaching/student teaching experience in Math upper-level middle school level preferred

Knowledge/Experience in Professional Learning Communities (PLC)

Experience with and solid working knowledge in standards-based instruction/curriculum highly preferred

Salary: District Salary Schedule  Base = $54,000.00)

Employment Term:
Full-time 185-day contract

Beginning Date:  reporting date for staff August 13, 2026 (New staff will have orientation before this date)
