Work on an as needed basis when the regular school nurse is absent. The role includes providing student health services while the regular nurse is absent.

• Current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in Wyoming
• Registered Nurse with a two‑year (Associate’s) or four‑year (Bachelor’s) degree from an accredited college or university
• Some coursework and/or experience in education preferred

• Ability to work with various personality types
• Sound emotional judgment
• Visual acuity, aided or non‑aided, to read and interpret accurately written reports of a technical nature
• Ability to enunciate clearly and communicate positively throughout the work day
• Ability to follow and successfully complete both written and oral directions
• Ability to calculate accurately
• Knowledge of basic computer commands to run software related to word processing and administrative/instructional applications on a personal computer

• Visual acuity and stamina to work at a computer monitor for at least a reasonable part of the day
• Sufficient strength to lift boxes or equipment that may weigh as much as fifty (50) pounds and be able to move them as far as fifty feet (50’)
• Sufficient strength and stamina to remain seated for periods as long as two (2) hours without fatigue or discomfort
• Sufficient strength and stamina to remain standing for periods as long as two (2) hours without fatigue or discomfort
• Sufficient strength and stamina to remain in a “squatting” position for a reasonable period of time during the school day without fatigue or discomfort

• Ability to work in air conditioned and non‑air conditioned buildings
• Frequent exposure to various supplies containing hazardous materials or chemicals
• Occasional exposure to weather extremes
• Occupationally exposed to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials
