Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Operate, maintain and repair facilities, compressor engines, and other equipment involved in transportation and storage of natural gas in assigned station and field areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Operation Specialist I: ($26.68 - $33.36 per hour)
- Must possess strong technical and mechanical skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a two-year degree in an industrial or mechanical field or related experience.
Operations Specialist II: ($29.87 - $37.34 per hour)
- Must possess a working knowledge of natural gas operations at a level normally acquired through the completion of a two-year degree with strong technical emphasis or related experience; and
- Two years’ experience as an operations specialist or equivalent related experience.
- Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
- Required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Commercial driver’s license may be required.
- Requires travel: 5% – 20%.
- This position requires that you be able to respond to call outs within one hour.
- This position requires shift work from December to April and working a weekend rotation when on call.
Natural Gas Operations
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs operation and maintenance activities and assigned housekeeping duties of compressor or process station equipment within the parameters of company policies and procedures.
- Operates and maintains field facilities as assigned. Activities could include pipeline freeze ups, chart changing, pigging pipelines, calibrations of equipment, line locates, line patrol and any other field related issues that occur.
- Assists other operations and maintenance personnel as necessary to maximize team productivity.
- Follows safety rules and helps ensure safe work conditions and equipment.
- Maintains awareness of related company standards and government regulations to assure that all requirements are met.
- Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
