Computing Services Analyst

Job Summary

This ONSITE position located in Powell, Wyoming, installs, maintains, supports, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and software campus‑wide or within the Instructional Technology sector. Duties include coordinating, scheduling, and training technicians, student employees, and interns.

The role involves advanced diagnostic analysis and troubleshooting of multi‑level software conflicts, researching and recommending procurement of hardware, software, equipment, materials, and related items, preparing specifications and requests for quotes, and supervising installation, troubleshooting, and security of all desktop computing systems.

Additional responsibilities include administering and maintaining computer networks, implementing security procedures, planning for future equipment, maintaining system configurations and inventories, monitoring software and licensing, preparing and interpreting reports, providing advanced system support, and performing other related duties.

Associate Degree or two‑year technical certificate in Computer Science or a computer‑operations related field and at least three years of experience installing, maintaining, supporting, and/or repairing computer systems, hardware, and software—one of which must be a lead worker or supervisory role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Positions in this class typically require climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Incumbents may be subjected to electrical currents, dusts, poor ventilation, workspace restrictions, weekend and evening work, and travel.

Starting Salary Range Competitive. Salary requirements should be provided in the cover letter.
