Summary/Objective
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Planning and Analytics (FP&A) Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making by developing robust forecasting models, building pro forma financial analyses for future initiatives, and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance business performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in SQL, and the ability to identify and interpret complex data trends to provide actionable recommendations.

- Develop and maintain financial forecasting models to project income, expenses, and balance sheet performance.
- Model loan portfolio performance, interest rate scenarios, and capital adequacy metrics to support decision-making.
- Analyze trends in key financial drivers and provide actionable recommendations to improve outcomes.
- Review external partnership models for accuracy and reasonableness.
- Provide detailed financial analysis on profitability, efficiency, and productivity metrics across business units.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess financial implications of strategic initiatives and new product offerings.
- Ensure forecasts and models comply with applicable banking regulations, including stress testing and risk assessments.
- Support regulatory reporting processes by providing accurate financial data and insights.
- Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and board-level discussions.
- Work closely with teams across finance, risk management, and treasury to align financial planning activities.
- Utilize SQL to extract, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources, providing insights to inform business strategies (required).
- Collaborate with budgeting process for divisions and bank wide.
- 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis or planning, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis; experience with other data analysis tools is a plus (e.g., Python, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake).
- Familiarity with banking-specific metrics such as net interest margin, loan loss provisions, and CECL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey financial findings to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Tenure in the short-term consumer financial industry is highly desirable.
