Summary

Pratt High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting the appreciation of the Spanish language and culture among students. This full‑time position requires an engaging educator who can effectively teach Spanish to a diverse student population, encouraging language proficiency and cultural understanding.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to various learning styles.
  • Teach Spanish language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, to students at different proficiency levels.
  • Create a dynamic classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for the Spanish language.
  • Assess student progress through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance language learning experiences.
  • Organize and participate in cultural activities and events that promote Spanish language and culture within the school community.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate language learning across the curriculum.
  • Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic progress and classroom activities.
  • Attend professional development workshops and conferences to stay current with best practices in language instruction.
  • Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive school culture.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field
  • Valid teaching certification in Spanish or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching Spanish at the high school level.
  • Strong proficiency in both written and spoken Spanish and English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Familiarity with technology and digital tools for language instruction.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events.
