Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled OR RN Circulator to provide exceptional perioperative care in a surgical setting. The role involves supporting surgical teams during various procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining sterile protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and assist in surgical procedures as an OR Circulator, ensuring adherence to all safety and sterility standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any intraoperative changes.
- Manage surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring correct sterilization and availability.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical staff throughout procedures.
- Document all surgical activities and patient data accurately in compliance with hospital policies.
- Assist with post-operative patient transfer and care instructions as needed.
- Hold a valid Kansas nursing license with a minimum of 3 years of OR circulator experience.
- Proficient in orthopedic (total joints), general surgery, gynecology, podiatry, endoscopy, and labor/delivery procedures.
- Currently certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Demonstrate experience with specialized procedures and equipment related to the OR setting.
- Able to work day shifts Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities on weekends.
- Must have an active or compact nursing license and be in compliance with travel and local regulations.
