Your Role as the CNA Restorative Aide Skilled Nursing

Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated CNA Restorative Aide to support residents in maintaining and improving functional abilities through restorative care. In this role, you’ll work closely with Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists to assist residents with exercises, mobility, and daily activities that promote independence and quality of life.

This position plays a vital role in bridging nursing care and therapy services while ensuring all care is delivered safely and in compliance with facility, state, and federal guidelines.

Summary

The CNA Restorative Aide assists residents with restorative nursing programs and therapy-related activities under the direction of licensed nursing staff and therapy professionals. This role focuses on mobility, strength, and functional support while maintaining resident dignity and safety.

This Role May Also Be Known As

Restorative Aide, Restorative Nursing Assistant, CNA Restorative Assistant, or Therapy Aide (CNA).

What You’ll Do
  • Work alongside Registered Nurses, Physical Therapists, and Occupational Therapists to support restorative care programs
  • Assist residents with exercises such as walking and range-of-motion activities
  • Help residents dress, undress, and apply or remove supportive devices such as braces, splints, and slings
  • Set up necessary supplies and equipment for restorative and therapy activities
  • With demonstrated competency and instruction, assist with treatments such as hydrotherapy or hot/cold packs when permitted
  • Transport residents to and from treatment areas as needed
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment after treatments
  • Record treatments provided and equipment used according to facility procedures
  • Assist with inventory and requisition of supplies and equipment
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, facility policies, and all state and federal regulations
What You Bring Qualifications
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Minimum 6 months of CNA experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with nursing and therapy teams
  • Commitment to resident safety, dignity, and restorative goals
  • Adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable state and federal regulations
Physical Demands
  • Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed
  • Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance
  • Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.
Safety Requirements
  • Follow proper resident handling and transfer procedures, including two-person assists when required
  • Utilize required PPE and safety equipment
  • Report work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentation
  • Participate in company drug testing procedures

This role is performed in a skilled nursing and therapy environment
, including resident rooms, therapy areas, and common spaces. Duties require regular interaction with residents, nursing staff, and therapy professionals.
