Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Position in Greater Madison

We are working a newly created Staff Accountant position for a well-established Non-Profit/Healthcare Company in the Madison area. This position will have a direct line to the CFO, so you will have some great high level exposure. This is the type of organization that people are proud to say they work for.

• Prepares and enter journal entries to the general ledger.
• Assist with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
• Assist with other accounting functions such as taxes, periodic and yearly financial reports.
• Assists with special financial and business-related studies and cooperates with other departments in preparing analyses.
• Assists with external audits of agency's accounts.
• Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger accounts, financial statements and reports.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Non-profit or healthcare experience preferred
• Problem-solving/process improvement mindset
• Attention to detail and organization skills
