Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to provide strategic leadership over accounting, financial reporting, and financial operations across multiple North American business locations. This highly visible leadership role partners closely with executive leadership to ensure financial accuracy, strengthen internal controls, and drive operational excellence through data-driven decision-making. This is an onsite opportunity based in Prattville, Alabama. This is an exciting interim opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent leadership position for the right candidate.

- Lead accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, internal controls, audits, tax compliance, and financial governance across multiple business locations.
- Partner with operational and executive leaders to deliver financial insights, forecasting, budgeting, KPI reporting, and strategic business analysis.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, corporate reporting requirements, and regulatory standards while maintaining strong financial controls.
- Drive process improvements focused on profitability, operational efficiency, working capital optimization, and business performance.
- Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team while fostering collaboration across departments.
- Champion the use of financial systems and business intelligence tools to improve reporting, automation, and decision-making.
- Experience leading accounting and finance functions within manufacturing and distribution environments.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and audit management.
- Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing high-performing accounting or finance teams.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, along with advanced Microsoft Excel and business reporting tools; experience with Power BI, One Stream, or Salesforce is a plus.
- CPA strongly preferred; experience with government contract accounting is a plus.
- Interim compensation up to $94-$96/hr, depending on experience.
