This role involves loading trucks, staging inventory for production lines, and organizing warehouse stock using heavy-duty industrial lifts while following strict safety rules.
Job Duties
- Drive heavy-duty and high-capacity forklifts to transport steel sheets, beams, and coils.
- Pull inventory from warehouse racks based on active production orders.
- Load and unload flatbed trucks and shipping containers safely.
- Inspect the forklift daily before use to check fluid levels and brakes.
- Report any equipment damage or safety hazards to the supervisor right away.
- Stack metal products neatly to prevent damage and keep walkways clear.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to pass an on-site evaluation.
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience operating heavy industrial forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a loud, non-climate-controlled factory.
- Strong focus on safety rules and OSHA guidelines.
