- Read and understand individualized service plans (ISPs) for each resident and provide support per their service plan.
- Attend to residents' individual needs, including assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, eating, incontinence care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulating, range‑of‑motion, communication, and other care needs identified by residents' ISP.
- Promptly answer and courteously respond to residents' pages and alarms.
- Perform various tasks as assigned, including providing resident care, administering medications (if med passer and delegated by RN), checking vital signs, collecting specimens, laundry, cleaning, dining room set‑up in a timely manner, etc.
- Must be able to frequently lift and move objects 50–100 lbs; regularly required to stand or walk for long periods of time, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, and lift. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and kneel occasionally throughout a workday.
- Ability to speak, write, and read English.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- CNA certification desirable, but not required; completion of CBRF courses desirable, but not required.
- Must submit and pass all applicable pre‑employment and annual tests and meet all training and other applicable state and federal regulations.
