QUALITY ANALYST
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for documenting the Quality and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) process, with a focus on upholding ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards and improving product quality indices as well as ensuring Work Safety through OSHA standards and laws and environmental conservation through the ISO 14001 standard and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains and updates the company’s policy & processes, including work instructions, forms, specifications, etc.
- Perform incident investigations and safety inspections on plant facilities.
- Executes activities related to control of records – work instructions, travelers, customers specific requirements review, etc.
- Performs IATF 16949 and ISO
14000 internal audits (system, product, and process). Ensure corrective actions for audit findings are documented properly and completed. Follow-up the action plans resulting from internal audits. Organize, support and follow audits accordingly. - Work with employees to proactively promote safety and improve safety performance. Lead / guide employee safety committee.
- Identify, calibrate, repair, and purchase gages/tools, while maintaining the calibration database
- Conduct employee OSHA mandatory training programs and other training as required. Create training programs where necessary.
- Maintain Corrective Actions & Deviation documentation including Nonconforming tag management
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in areas of recycling and lessen the environmental impact of the facility.
- Monitors costs of poor quality and other company-wide KPIs to ensure availability of data and corrective actions.
- Recommend and implement programs to increase employee input, recognition for participating in safety programs.
- Perform new hire and ongoing training for all employees related to EHS and plant safety.
- Manage outside contractors for cleaning, safety, or environmental issues as required.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives as requested.
- Document PPAP submission requirements; supports the specific requirements of the automotive customers. Coordinates production of parts under PPAP status.
- Collaborate with suppliers and/or customers to develop, implement and improve quality standards and practices.
- Coordinate the investigation of customer claims to identify and resolve systematic and incidental quality problems with respect to both internal production processes and supplier inputs.
- Collects, compiles, analyzes and evaluates quality data, including claims and test data, and prepares standard and special reports and presentation materials for internal and external audiences.
- Provides training in quality principles, application of quality tools, and laboratory test methods.
- Conducts process capability studies and measurement system analysis studies (MSA)
- Perform safety inspections on plant and provide findings to management. Support any outside inspection (such as OSHA, DEP, ADEM, etc.).
- Documents all required federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
- Provides assistance and guidance along with clearly communicate team goals in order to maximize the results according to company guidelines and expectations.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS/EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS REQUIREMENT
- Ability to continuously stand, sit, walk, stoop, bend, push, pull, reach, and grasp for up to 8 hours a day on a concrete floor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Bachelor’s degree - Experience
Required:
Experience in quality assurance in automotive field. - Experience Preferred: 3 to 5 years working in a manufacturing environment.
