Compensation: 15.00 USD Hourly
Job SummaryThe Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building and grounds maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will have the capability to paint, perform dry wall repair, concrete forming and finishing, and diagnose and repair kitchen and HVAC equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Receive direction from the Maintenance Manager and assist in the overall maintenance and repair of assigned units.
- Paint and stain interior and exterior of buildings.
- Repair damage to walls and flooring.
- Conduct major repairs to electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
- Respond immediately to and resolve emergency facility needs and issues regarding safety, security, and business requirements, including fire alarm systems; disengage electrical, water, or gas systems as necessary.
- Maintain a safe facility environment in accordance with standards for maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
- Notify Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues.
- Carry out weekly preventative maintenance inspections of facility assets.
- Assist resort staff with the facility recycling program.
- Occasionally assist with landscaping, mowing, snow removal, and plowing.
- Occasionally perform custodial tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma.
- At least 2 years of facility maintenance or carpentry related experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word).
- Ability to speak, read, write and otherwise communicate in English.
- Class D Driver’s License with insurable driving record; preferred CDL.
- Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
- Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.
- Move about on foot to accomplish tasks, frequently moving from place to place within the unit or assigned work location.
- Bend, lift, carry, crawl, climb, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently.
- Lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Climb steps and ladders regularly.
- Withstand temperature extremes in indoor and outdoor environments.
- Read and write work‑related documents in English.
- Speak clearly and understand the speech of customers and co‑workers.
- Maintain presence at the job site to perform duties.
- Wear the correct protective and safety equipment at all times.
- Repair equipment.
- Hand and electric tools.
- Company motor vehicles.
