What You'll Do

+ Pull and route CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optic cabling

+ Organize, dress, label, and prepare cable for termination

+ Install cable pathways including J-hooks, cable tray, D-rings, and trapeze systems

+ Build and install telecommunications closets, racks, patch panels, and related hardware

+ Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling systems

+ Perform fire-stopping procedures and install sleeves as required

+ Terminate low-voltage devices and cabling systems

+ Assist with testing and troubleshooting cabling installations

+ Complete project documentation accurately and on time

+ Follow all safety, quality, and installation standards

+ Support additional project tasks as assigned

What You Bring

+

Experience with structured cabling installations

+ Experience pulling CAT5, CAT6, and/or fiber optic cabling

+ Experience terminating copper and/or fiber cabling

+ Experience working in commercial construction environments

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

+ Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively

+ Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

+ Ability to work effectively as part of a team

+ Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills

Nice to Have

+ Data center experience

+ Fiber termination experience

+ Experience using Fluke or Versiv testing equipment

+ Experience building IDF/MDF closets

+ Knowledge of industry color codes and labeling standards

+ Fiber splicing experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Prattville, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
