The Rewind Operator in Prescott Valley, AZ is responsible for operating and monitoring rewinding equipment to process finished materials according to customer specifications. The Rewind Operator ensures quality control during the rewinding process and maintains accurate documentation of production activities using a manufacturing ERP systems.
An additional $2.50/hr premium for hours worked on NIGHT Shift only (qualifying hours vary by location).
Key Responsibilities- Operate rewinding machinery safely and efficiently
- Review and verify job jacket information for accuracy before starting production
- Enter production data and maintain records in a manufacturing ERP system
- Inspect materials for quality defects during rewinding process
- Monitor tension control and material alignment
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Communicate with team members regarding job status and quality issues
- Package and label finished products according to specifications
- High School diploma or equivalent experienced
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Safety protocols and procedures
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Data entry and record keeping
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Must be able to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to climb, kneel, bend, reach and squat
- Proficiency in grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor skills
- Visual Acuity for product inspection
- Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses)
- Use of ladders and other equipment
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift and pallet jacks
- Noise levels above 85 dB
- Operation of complex machinery
- Solvents, fumes and inks
- Variable Temperatures
