- Passion for providing patient care, strong clinical skills, and a strong collaborator with Physicians and Therapists.
- Degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
- Current State Registered Nurse License.
- Current CPR.
Required Skills:
- Successful completion of accredited Registered Nursing program;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. - Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current CPR Certification.
- One (1) year recent experience preferred. Acute care setting preferred.
- ACLS certification preferred in LTACH and Texas hospitals.
Additional Qualifications/
Skills:
- Knowledge of nursing theory, infection control, wound care standards.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards (TJC, CMS).
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures; use of policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Critical thinking skills.
- General computer skills: data entry, word processing, email, record management.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
- Work closely and professionally with others.
- Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within assigned unit. Responsibilities include patient assessments, planning, supervising, interventions, and evaluations designed to prevent complications, restore optimal functioning, and help patients adapt to an altered lifestyle. The role integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
