Job Description:

Provide nursing care in a Level 4 trauma ER/ED setting. Manage a variety of patients, including those with chest pain, abdominal pain, minor trauma, and respiratory distress. RNs are responsible for their own ER holds and must demonstrate critical thinking skills, conscious sedation capability, and acute myocardial infarction (AMI) management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients with varying acuity levels in the emergency department.
• Manage critical situations and administer conscious sedation.
• Collaborate with ER staff and supervise ED Techs and Paramedics.
• Troubleshoot equipment and initiate breathing treatments if needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC certifications required.
• 2 years of ER experience and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to triage and manage AMI patients.
