The Plant Controller is a key member of the management team and is responsible for maximizing plant profitability.

• Analyze and forecast manufacturing variances
• Assist Plant Management in driving productivity savings to budgeted commitments
• Coordinate the preparation of departmental and plant-wide budgets and forecasts
• Provide financial oversight and support for physical inventory counts
• Maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities and plant transactions per procedures and guidance from the corporate controller’s office
• Prepare and maintain cost standards for all products produced
• Coordinate the annual Capital Budget preparation, related financial justification, expenditure control and objective analysis
• Ensure all reports, accounting data and monthly closings meet Operations and Corporate due dates
• Work with the Team Leader to meet corporate reporting requirements
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Perform other related duties as required

Required:

• Four-year degree in a related field – accounting preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing plant accounting and controlling
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team
• Autonomy and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to travel occasionally if required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to prioritize

Preferred:

• SAP knowledge
• Certifications:
  
  CPA, CGMA or CMA
