Team Overview andJob Responsibilities
The Plant Controller is a key member of the management team and is responsible for maximizing plant profitability.
Responsibilities- Analyze and forecast manufacturing variances
- Assist Plant Management in driving productivity savings to budgeted commitments
- Coordinate the preparation of departmental and plant-wide budgets and forecasts
- Provide financial oversight and support for physical inventory counts
- Maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities and plant transactions per procedures and guidance from the corporate controller’s office
- Prepare and maintain cost standards for all products produced
- Coordinate the annual Capital Budget preparation, related financial justification, expenditure control and objective analysis
- Ensure all reports, accounting data and monthly closings meet Operations and Corporate due dates
- Work with the Team Leader to meet corporate reporting requirements
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Perform other related duties as required
Required:
- Four-year degree in a related field – accounting preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing plant accounting and controlling
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team
- Autonomy and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to travel occasionally if required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to prioritize
Preferred:
- SAP knowledge
- Certifications:
CPA, CGMA or CMA
