Heavy Construction Laborer

Asphalt Laborer – Fann Contracting, Inc., Northern Arizona’s leading heavy‑civil and heavy‑highway contractor, is hiring for Heavy Construction Laborers. Statewide travel is required. Hourly pay will typically range from $19.90 to $26.10 when working local to Prescott, AZ, and when traveling, subsistence may also be paid.

Our family‑owned 60‑year company specializes in mass excavation, rock handling, underground utilities, private and public infrastructure, asphalt paving, aggregate crushing, asphalt hot plant production, and much more. Statewide positions. Wages depend upon experience. These openings are full‑time, permanent positions that may require weekly travel within Arizona.

• For specific projects, daily subsistence (TRAVEL PAY) of $75 to $85 may also be available (in addition to the listed hourly rates shown above), please ask for details.
• Free training classes include OSHA 10‑hr. First Aid/CPR, Excavation Safety, Confined Space, Lasers, Grade Checking, Driving Safety, Equipment Operator Safety and more.

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be able to drive their own vehicles to statewide assignments which typically involves staying away from home 4 or 5 nights per week (travel pay is available).
• Must be able to pass pre‑employment drug screening.
• Must have an OSHA 10‑Hour class as a condition of employment. If candidates do not have this training and are offered a job, we will provide the training free of charge within the first 90 days of employment.
• Must be willing to travel to projects throughout Arizona (daily subsistence/travel pay may be available).
• Must be able to actively listen, learn and follow safety instructions.
• Have the ability to work productively under pressure and pay attention to project details.
• Should have strong self‑motivation/work ethic; ability to work with or without direct supervision.
• Must be on time and dependable.
• Must be available for various hours including days, nights and possibly weekends.
• Candidates should be eager to be trained and learn while you earn. Training programs are comprehensive and always free.
• Environmental factors include frequent exposure to outside hot/cold/humid temperatures, chemical or electrical hazards, sharp objects/tools, fall protection PPE, and physical work that can be dirty, contain fumes, dust, grease, oil, mud, moving mechanical parts, noise, vibration, wet/slippery surfaces, and working with others or alone.
