* The faculty member is responsible for educating and preparing future nurses by providing clinical instruction. They play a critical role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals, providing instruction and real world application at the patient bedside.

* Reporting to the Dean of Health Sciences, the incumbent will teach discipline-specific clinical courses at offsite community facilities.

* Responsibilities will include course preparation and use of Canvas learning management system to provide relevant timely communication and grading feedback to the nurse clinical students on the patient assessments. May be asked to teach other courses in disciplines in which she/he is able to be credentialed.

In addition to a competitive salary and relocation for this 9-month position, we offer generous time off (including a one week fall break, a two-week winter break, and a one-week spring break, 10 sick days annually, up to 3 personal days (from the sick leave bank), retirement, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance at 2 x basic salary and more.

Responsibilities:

* Clinical Instruction:
Leading discussions and providing regular and substantive interaction. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student growth and development.

* Assessment and Evaluation:
Evaluate students' progress and competence. Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and assign grades.

* Advising and Mentoring:
Provide academic and career advising to nursing students. Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development.

* Service:
Participate in departmental and college committees and activities. Engage in clinical partnerships. Contribute to the development of the nursing program and its continuous improvement.

* Professional Development:
Stay current with nursing practice, trends, and educational methodologies. Pursue opportunities for professional development.

* Collaboration:

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the quality and consistency of the nursing program. Work with other healthcare professionals and organizations to enhance educational experience for students.

* Compliance and Accreditation:
Stay informed about and ensure compliance with accreditation (ACEN) and regulatory standards relevant to nursing education. Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for program accreditation.

* This position requires excellent oral, written and electronic communication. The incumbent will need to effectively foster collegial relationships both intra and interdepartmentally, model professional behaviors including involvement with/in professional organizations and engagement in lifelong learning.

The general expectation is that full-time faculty will serve as provisional faculty for a period of three years prior to being reviewed for continuing status. The determination of faculty status is, however, ultimately at the discretion of the Yavapai College District Governing Board and the College President, as the Board's designee.

* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.

* Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona:

* Valid Arizona Driver's License

* Two (2) years of full-time work experience as a professional nurse.

* Leadership and team management abilities.

* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

* Experience with the MS Office Suite, the Internet, and email. Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.

Experience with online learning platforms and student management systems.

* Work experience in a community college/higher education work environment

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey ideas and concepts in a professional and civil manner. Ability to adjust to variance in communication and learning styles of students. Ability and willingness to communicate regularly with students and other internal and external customers.

* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.

* Ability to understand and promote the educational philosophy and programs that Yavapai College offers. Willingness to grow and evolve with the College's educational philosophy.

* Experience working and participating in a team environment and collaborating with other individuals and teams to meet student needs. Willingness to help students and team members grow and learn.

* Ability and willingness to continuously learn and accept constructive feedback.

* Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to manage time and schedule effectively.
