Position Summary
The ultimate responsibility of this position is the management and oversight of all backend systems and tools used by Heights Church to enable ministry to happen. The Comm. Operations Support will lead the way in the implementation, ongoing maintenance, application training, and operation of church management software.
With oversight by the Communications Director, this position is charged with ensuring that all systems operations within the church align with and reflect the values of Heights Church.
The Comm Operations Support (COS) role serves as a key integrator between communications projects and systems management at Heights Church. This position supports ministry teams by ensuring communication initiatives are effectively executed through well‑managed systems, streamlined processes, and consistent design support.
Working closely with the Communications Director and Project Coordinator, the COS leads the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of church management systems while contributing to ministry‑facing communication efforts. With a high degree of independence, this role ensures that systems, tools, and processes align with the mission, values, and evolving needs of Heights Church.
Schedule & ReportingCOS works Weekdays, Weekends and Holidays, as needed.
COS reports to the Communications Pastor.
CommunicationsProvide input and contribute to the development of ministry‑wide large projects with the Communications team, ensuring alignment between creative deliverables and system processes. Review language and processes used for registrations, forms, and events on the website, Heights App and Church Center App to ensure updated continuity across platforms. Empower ministry teams in communication standards and best practices.

Lead implementation, ongoing maintenance, and operation of church management software used by Heights Church and align system functionalities to support ministry communication goals and ensure smooth delivery. Oversee and ensure appropriate levels of access to the management systems for all levels of users and maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive member information.
Troubleshoot and problem solve all systems related needs. Design, test, and maintain forms, lists, registrations, event announcements and other PCO consumables. Design and build structures and processes needed to utilize PCO and other systems efficiently while meeting the needs of ministry teams – train ministries and serve teams in best practices to this end. Maintain a high level of data integrity and security to ensure the management systems abide by the standards of Heights Church and the law.

Develop and maintain healthy, productive lines of communication with each ministry to empower them in the implementation of their specific programs and events.
