The UA Wildcat Corps VISTA project aims to empower low-income communities in Arizona by addressing critical poverty-related challenges through community-driven solutions. It will build on and leverage the capacity of Cooperative Extension to reach low-income communities by developing a volunteer recruitment, training, and management program. Our approach is designed to involve the community at every stage, to ensure long-term sustainability, and to ultimately help lift individuals out of poverty.
In Yavapai County, the primary focus of the volunteer program is expanding food and nutrition education and financial literacy outreach and support. Help improve nutrition security in Yavapai County.
