Job Description:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a position in the Telemetry unit. The role involves providing care on a Cardiac/Medical 3rd Floor with a focus on telemetry monitoring. The unit comprises 49 beds with patient ratios of 1:5.

Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips and documenting at least once per shift
• Caring for patients with CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, GI conditions, Diabetes, and post-cath recovery
• Managing scheduled shifts and floating to other units as required

Requirements:

• Must pass the dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with a score of 80% or higher
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS
• Experience with Cerner and handling total joint replacement patients
• Reading basic telemetry strips and some experience with CVA and TIA
