Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team. The ideal candidate will have the experience and competencies needed to deliver exceptional patient care across various units, including ICU, Med Surg Tele, and PCU.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, including geriatric and post-procedural patients.
- Ability to manage and administer titratable and/or set rate drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and nursing assessments, managing monitor technology within the units.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and effective care delivery.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an ICU setting.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple locations, including day and night shifts as needed.
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: PCU 1:4, Med Surg Tele 1:5-6.
Shifts are scheduled from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM. The scheduler will make the float pool schedule, which is published 6 weeks in advance for a 4-week period. Travelers should be prepared to work varying shifts, including weekend and holiday commitments.
OrientationAll new hires will undergo an orientation program consisting of an 8-hour general hospital orientation followed by 12-hour shifts in relevant units.
Cancellation PolicyFour shifts per contract, with three shifts required for contracts under 13 weeks.
Charting SystemThe facility utilizes the Cerner electronic health record system for all documentation and charting.
LocationThis position involves multiple locations within the region, specifically in East and West campuses of the city, state.
