Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the telemetry unit, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Unit Information- Unit Type: Telemetry
- Unit Size: 49 beds
- Patient Ratios: 1:5
- Common Diagnoses: Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), COVID-19, respiratory issues, gastrointestinal conditions, diabetes, telehealth monitoring, postoperative catheter care, and total joint replacements.
- Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, including basic tele strips.
- Provide nursing care for patients with cardiovascular issues and those recovering from procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including non-titrating and set rate drips (e.g., Diltiazem/Cardizem).
- Engage in patient education and family support.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Strong experience in telemetry nursing or critical care.
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips; RN's are required to sign off on strip interpretations at least once per shift.
- Experience with Cerner is recommended due to limited orientation.
- Previous experience with total joint replacement care is preferred.
- Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
- Self-scheduling is utilized, with schedules prepared four weeks in advance, subject to manager approval.
- Weekend Requirement: Two weekends per four-week schedule.
- Holiday Requirement: Work two holidays and/or two holiday evenings during major holidays.
- Floating Requirements: Nurses may be required to float to other units if qualified.
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs.
- Orientation: One shift of unit-specific orientation.
