Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Stocking, Retail Support, Cashier

Responsibilities- Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, ensuring store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises.
- Deliver friendly customer service, helping customers shop our store and find what they’re looking for.
- Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
- Dust and mops floors following approved procedures.
- Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
- Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment, including mixing water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions as required.
- Deep clean key areas of the store, including but not limited to bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways and other high‑traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
- Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
- Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
- Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
- Maintain positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers, even in difficult situations, in keeping with the organization’s vision and values.
- Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members.
- Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
- Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
- Assist with Omni‑channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
- Participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
- Support shrink and safety programs.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards.
- Retail and/or cleaning experience.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to move throughout the store.
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
- Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
- Some outdoor work may be required to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks.
- Work hours may include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
- Standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies will be used.
- Some stock rooms may not be climate controlled.
- Public retail store setting; all public areas are climate controlled.
