Cashier Part Time

Starting Pay: $15.00 Hourly

Works as a member of the store team to lead an excellent customer and brand experience, and promote sales for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. Responsible for running registers, working to maintain sales floor standards, and processing a variety of customer transactions including complex sales, deletes, and customer returns.

• Perform Point of Sale (POS) responsibilities and process all forms of payments.
• Ask each customer for cash donations at POS.
• Establish or identify prices of goods via type of merchandise, markings, or assistance from an on‑site leader.
• Complete closing procedures as necessary.
• Greet customers that enter the store and thank customers leaving the establishment.
• Maintain sales floor by following floorwork and PPM (picture process map) standards.
• Utilize systems, including phones and paging systems, to make regularly scheduled announcements.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Process complex sales transactions including deletes and customer returns.
• Maintain regular and consistent in‑person attendance.
• Cross‑train in other positions as business needs arise.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent math skills preferred.
• Ability to communicate and understand instructions, both verbal and written, in English.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for the position.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
