Full Pay Range: $25.55 to $38.33 per hour

Under general direction of the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator, this position performs installation, maintenance and repairs relating to all systems such as electric, plumbing, HVAC, and structure within and around City buildings, facilities, walk areas, and parking lots.
Essential Duties- Operate City vehicles and other motorized equipment including lifts of many kinds
- Check various equipment gauges and instruments and maintain proper levels of water, oil, fluids, and air pressure
- Perform electrical work using test devices to determine circuitry problems and make wiring repairs and replacement
- Perform plumbing maintenance including, but not limited to unclogging drains and repairing or replacing pipes and fixtures to stop leaks
- Repair roofs using hand tools and hot or cold adhesive mixtures
- Perform drywall installation and patching, painting, carpentry, carpet, tile, and other floor installations as needed
- Check HVAC units and thermostats for operation, clean or replace HVAC filters, belts, motors, etc.
- Assist management in preparing cost estimates for repairs and maintenance jobs; maintain records of time and materials used
- Confer with supervisor regarding problems and questions
- Perform other duties as assigned. This position may require night and weekend work when needed
- This position may also require being on-call for periods of time
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Plus five (5) years of building maintenance. Two (2) years of HVAC and electrical training. A general contractor's license, a relevant professional trade license, and/or an International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) certification is highly desired. Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position will be considered.
