Job Summary

The Aircraft Worker assists certificated Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) Maintenance Technicians in performing aircraft maintenance and repair activities. This entry-level role provides hands‑on experience in aviation maintenance while developing technical skills through supervised training. Responsibilities increase progressively as proficiency is gained, supporting aircraft maintenance operations and ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) Maintenance Technicians with aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Perform basic mechanical and maintenance support tasks under direct supervision.
  • Clean aircraft components and work areas.
  • Remove, prepare, and install aircraft panels and components.
  • Assist with routine aircraft inspections and maintenance procedures.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
  • Support aircraft repair and servicing activities.
  • Follow established aviation maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation as assigned.
  • Learn aviation maintenance techniques through hands‑on training and mentorship.
  • Progress through increasing levels of responsibility based on demonstrated skills and experience.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance teams to support safe and efficient aircraft operations.
Requirements
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in automotive, marine, military, manufacturing, industrial, or related mechanical fields preferred.
  • Strong willingness to learn aviation maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work under the supervision of certificated A&P Maintenance Technicians.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Eligibility to progress through aviation maintenance training levels.
