Make mechanical and electrical tests and visual inspections to determine causes of malfunctions or conditions which may cause breakdown or safety hazards;
Utilize manufacturer's blueprints and specifications to determine proper replacement of parts or other information to aid in troubleshooting, repair, or modification;
Disassemble, make repairs and reassemble all trade related device and/or equipment;
Perform preventive maintenance and operating checks on electrical and mechanical devices;
Work on project objectives proposed by engineers, including planning and laying out the sequence of work from drawings or blueprints which may be incomplete regarding the specific wiring required in the unique application of equipment
