Shipping & Receiving Associate
The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for performing all warehouse shipping and receiving functions to support production, purchasing, and customer needs. This position ensures that all incoming and outgoing materials are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and safety requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Shipping- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to company standards and carrier regulations.
- Verify accuracy and condition of outgoing materials prior to shipment.
- Unload, inspect, and verify accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders or packing slips.
- Document and report any damaged, missing, or incorrect items.
- Tag, label, and store received items in designated inventory areas.
- Communicate delivery status and discrepancies to the Purchasing team.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system (Infor Visual).
- Assist with cycle counts and periodic physical inventory.
- Organize and maintain stock areas to ensure efficient access and safe handling.
- Safely and effectively operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and hazardous material handling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free shipping and receiving area.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics (preferably related to parts/equipment).
- Forklift certification with 1-3 years of experience. (training available through Kasco if not)
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Infor Visual) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to stand and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
