Job Summary

Performs warehouse duties including but not limited to inventory, issuing, stocking, ordering, receiving, delivering, loading, unloading of materials, and managing Company FR and clothing process. Continually monitor and revise inventory reorder points, minimums, maximums, and multiples in material tracking system. Must be able to qualify as an operator for Company forklifts. Must be physically able to lift and maneuver items up to 70 pounds and stand and work long hours on concrete floor.

In addition to the warehouse duties, the employee will be responsible for Accounts Payable, which includes receiving, reviewing, tracking, and approving invoices. This will involve understanding and operation of the Company’s Accounts Payable tracking and Material Management database (Oracle) including monthly and year-end accruals reporting. Required to generate POs and requisitions, and work with Procurement to initiate master service agreements and scopes of work.

Responsible for coordinating and scheduling vendors. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities
  • Inventory, issuing, stocking, delivering, ordering, receiving, loading, and unloading of materials. Receiving involves checks on all material for damage and compliance to current materials specifications.
  • Operate and maintain Company forklifts.
  • Must be physically able to stock shelves, load, and unload materials. Must be able to lift and maneuver a minimum of 70 pounds. Must be able to work long hours on concrete surface.
  • Responsibility of keeping a balanced, adequate and accurate inventory.
  • Responsibility of stock of pertinent company wide forms, tags or signs.
  • Responsibility of keeping clean, safe and organized work area.
  • Responsibility of managing and safety stock to accommodate scheduled projects and maintenance. Requires effectively communicating with Procurement and Planners.
  • Responsible for timely monthly and year-end accrual process.
  • Responsible for the location and condition of stock items in warehouse and pipe yard.
  • Become efficient creating master service agreements and scopes of work and managing associated purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of warehouse and storage yard.
  • Responsible for oversight of Company FR, clothing, hats and associated process.
  • Must properly process all invoices in a timely manner.
  • Must become efficient with Company’s Material Management (Oracle) and Accounts Payable database systems.
  • Have a general knowledge of gas service, construction and planning in dealing with inventory and deciphering invoices.
  • This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.
Additional Requirements
  • All applicants will be given a written test prior to an interview. Applicant must score a 75% or better to pass the test and to continue in the selection process. The test will consist of knowledge of the gas industry, construction and service related work and terminology and math skills related to district operations.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills, strong counting and basic math skills, basic gas construction skills, and the ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must possess a valid AZ driver’s license.
  • Have the ability to work some after hours and weekend duties, if necessary.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Written reports and documentation must be completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Strong computer experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and Oracle Applications preferred.
  • Movement from a Level I to a Level II is based upon proficiency in position, including:
  • Proficiency in Oracle and other software applications.
  • Acceptable Inventory Audit.

Qualified applicants will be given a written test and must get 75% or better to proceed in the interview process. Additionally, applicants will then be given a physical agility test to ensure they can perform the physical requirements of the position.
