Assistant Director of Enrollment Issues and Waivers

The University of Maine at Presque Isle is seeking an
Assistant Director of Enrollment Issues and Waivers to join the Office of Student Financial Services.

This position oversees complex enrollment-related financial aid processes, including Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4), Unusual Enrollment History (UEH), dynamically dated and repeated coursework, Spring Admit packaging, May/December graduates, ISIR processing, and waiver programs. The position also provides direct financial aid advising to students and families and supports financial literacy, policy implementation, cross-campus coordination, staff guidance, and process improvement.

This is a
full-time, on-campus position at the University of Maine at Presque Isle and is not remote
. Normal University business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required based on the needs of the position.

The salary for this full time on-campus position is $52,000. The university will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion depending on skills and experience. • Typically has the education associated with a Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of professional experience, or an equivalent combination of academic and directly related professional work experience.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and the ability to organize and administer programs in a highly computerized environment.
• Strong attention to detail and aptitude for handling multiple tasks.
• Capacity to work independently and as a member of a team.

• Previous financial aid experience.
• Previous experience with People Soft or another enterprise-wide database system for higher education.
