The
University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) is seeking to hire fully remote
Adjunct Faculty members who are subject matter experts in Fine Arts .

UMPI is a public institution for competency-based education (CBE) accredited by New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), the Your Pace degree programs are self-paced, student-driven, student-centered, subscription based competency-education model that primarily serves adult learners. Your Pace allows high flexibility for students without compromising academic quality.

Your Pace invites applicants to be Adjunct Faculty members to be Instructors of Record from a wide range of disciplines and professional skills for undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Teaching assignments may begin at any of our six or eight-week session start dates per year. Your Pace seeks subject matter experts in the following areas:

• Art History
• Art Theory
• Digital Arts
• Digital Media Production
• Drawing
• Foundations of Design
• Graphic Design
• Photography

All Your Pace competencies are fully online and asynchronous, and interpersonal interactions with students are expected. Your Pace Adjunct Faculty are compensated based on agreements as per the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreements/MOU.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Your Pace Adjunct Faculty for undergraduate degree programs must have at minimum, a master’s degree (or terminal degree in field) from an accredited institution, and/or significant work experience in a related field.
• Your Pace Adjunct Faculty for graduate degree programs must have a Doctorate, terminal, advanced degree in field of study, and/or significant work experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching at the college-level
• Online teaching experience
• Teaching in a competency-based education model

  Technology Requirements
  :
  Your Pace Adjunct Faculty are required to have the appropriate technology to teach in a fully online environment. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Computer (laptop) with appropriate amounts of processing speed
