Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst
The University of Maine at Presque Isle is seeking a Finance Associate. This full‑time role supports university budgetary operations, focusing on financial analysis, fiscal management, and systems reconciliation.
Core responsibilities include monitoring budget performance, managing workforce position budgeting, and ensuring system compliance across campus procurement, purchasing card (P‑Card) transactions, and grant records.
We are seeking an analytical, detail‑oriented professional with strong communication skills and advanced Excel proficiency who can collaborate effectively with campus budget managers and system financial staff.
This is a full‑time, on‑campus, non‑represented position with standard university business hours and occasional extended hours during peak fiscal cycles.

The annual salary range for this position is $50,000 – $60,000. The university will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion depending on skills and experience. Additional benefits include medical, retirement, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. - Associate's degree with three or more years of relevant professional experience.
- Familiarity with financial and budgeting analysis, reporting tools, and software used to analyze financial data.
- Exceptional computer competency, including excellent Microsoft Office skills with fluency in Excel and a demonstrated ability to acquire new software skills efficiently.
- Demonstrated proficiency preparing financial reports using numeric, graphic, and narrative representations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Ability to communicate information about financial matters, both verbally and in writing, to constituents with a variety of levels of understanding.
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Knowledge of and practical familiarity with the University of Maine Street system (People Soft).
- Previous professional work experience within a public higher education setting.
