Pay: $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Job Description

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Production Planner to join a growing manufacturing team in Presque Isle. This position helps coordinate production schedules, materials, and resources to keep operations running smoothly and ensure customer orders are completed on time.

The Assistant Production Planner will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to monitor schedules, address potential delays, and support efficient workflow. This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing planning experience who enjoys problem-solving and working with a team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, materials, and available capacity.
  • Use ERP/MRP systems to release and track manufacturing orders.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Work with Production and Maintenance to address scheduling changes, downtime, and resource needs.
  • Monitor production progress and help identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
  • Track production metrics and prepare reports as needed.
  • Support inventory management and the flow of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Participate in production planning meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide supervisors with updated schedules and support daily workflow coordination.
Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
  • Precision metal manufacturing experience is a plus.

Strong communication and attention to detail.

Drug screen and background check required.
