Route Sales Director

- Motivate and lead a team of Route Sales Supervisors, Representatives, and Trainees.
- Oversee general business operations on company‑operated routes.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment in carrying out job duties.
- Manage route performance to key performance indicators and ensure compliance with best practices.
- Meet with customers to promote sales and brand awareness; maintain a schedule of key account visits.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations Director and Market Vice President to analyze market and identify sales opportunities.
- Conduct weekly reviews to monitor personal growth objectives.
- Stay current on consumer insights and adjust sales strategies.
- Call on potential customers and expand the customer base.
- Work with route staff and retail management on product promotions, displays, and other opportunities.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new Route Sales Representatives and Specialists.
- Operate company routes, providing coverage to maintain customer service.
- Maintain accurate route settlement, invoicing, inventory counts, and cash collection.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, company, and federal regulations, including vehicle operation and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including attendance and schedule adherence.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant management or sales experience.
- Minimum 1 year of retail food and beverage sales experience preferred.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, or related field.
- Salary range: $75,000–$80,000 per year.
- Must obtain DOT medical certification to drive a commercial motor vehicle.
- Must meet fleet insurance guidelines for your MVR.
