The City of Presque Isle is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to work under the direction of the Public Works Director and/or the Public Works Foreman performing skilled and semi-skilled work operating heavy, moderately heavy and light construction equipment; performing manual and semi-skilled labor in connection with the Public Works Maintenance and construction activities and snow and ice removal operations.
The position offers a comprehensive wage and benefit package including:
- Starting wage $25.21- $30.70 based on experience
- Employee and family medical health coverage
- Paid vacation, sick, 13.5 holidays, and two personal days per year
- Maine Public Employees Retirement System or ICMA 401(a)/457(b)
- City funded Health Reimbursement Account
- Clothing and boot allowance
- Year around four-day work week
