* Mileage: $0.58 per mile when transporting a client
Schedule:
Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
Hours:
Primarily afternoons/evenings after 2:00–2:30 p.m., weekends, and school vacations and breaks as needed.
Looking for meaningful part-time work where you can make a difference for children and families? We are hiring Youth & Family Support Specialists to work one-on-one with children in their homes and throughout the community. This position focuses on helping children build skills, work toward individual goals, participate in community activities, and develop greater independence. Much of the work takes place after school and on weekends, making this a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent part-time hours outside of a traditional daytime schedule.
Responsibilities- Work directly with children and families in home and community settings.
- Support goals related to behavior, daily living skills, independence, physical development, and social and emotional needs.
- Engage clients in community-based activities such as recreation, shopping, parks, and other appropriate outings.
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for clients.
- Build positive, professional relationships with children and families.
- Remain calm and supportive during challenging situations.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Participate in supervision, orientation, and required ongoing training.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors and other members of the treatment team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Reliable, insured, registered, and inspected vehicle required for transporting clients.
- Ability to communicate effectively and complete written and computer-based documentation.
- Dependable and able to maintain a consistent schedule.
- Patient, flexible, professional, and comfortable working independently in home and community environments.
- Ability to work effectively with children, families, coworkers, and other professionals.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Employees will receive $0.58 per mile when a client is in the vehicle. Employees will be paid $20.00 per hour for all time spent providing services to clients in the home or community. Employees will be paid $15.10 per hour for travel time to and from clients' homes, as well as for supervision meetings, training sessions, and other non-direct service activities.
